Trump names Musk to lead new D.O.G.E department. Dogecoin skyrockets 48%, targeting $1? Wall Street eyes DOGE ETFs. First full game on DOGE blockchain?
Well, Caspar “Cap the Knife” Weinberger seemed to cut costs when he was head of the Office of the Management and Budget; however, he never did it when he was Secretary of Defense. Business people never seems to cut costs and waste in their own companies so how do you expect them to cut costs and waste in government particularly when they profit from government waste and fraud? Look at how the defense contractors profited from cost overruns during the Reagan years; yet, they still got paid for their services. Also, look at how Rick Scott profited by ripping off the government from overcharging on Medicare and Medicaid programs; yet, he was never sent to prison for it.
I recall years ago, how the Maine state politicians were looking at eliminating the government to get rid of the state deficit; yet, getting rid of the government didn’t solve it. Unless you get honest, ethical politicians and civil servants who believe in a clean, honest government plus protect the whistleblowers and prosecute the people who commit fraud and waste in government, you are never going to rein in government costs.
Trump + Musk leading D.O.G.E... Dogecoin is truly a cultural phenomenon. Crypto has never felt this surreal.
Only in 2024 could a meme coin inspire a federal department—D.O.G.E might just be the most entertaining policy shift ever!
Just a comment. Do not understimate Elon Musk.
Indeed. Bitcoin rocketed also, both on Elon Musk official designation
Totally agree! Musk’s impact goes beyond just hype—he’s shifting how people view and value digital assets.

From jokes to juggernauts: DOGE’s rise shows just how serious the ‘meme economy’ has become.
